EPDM - Company Drilling and Mining Development, SA, dedicates itself to the execution of the following types of work:
♦ Construction, earth modelling and movement works, at the underground and surface;
♦ Mine development and exploration;
♦ Geological prospection, surveying and drilling;
♦ Laboratory services;
♦ Mine engineering and other services related with the mining industry.
In its activity the EPDM is based on the following guidelines:
♦ Compliance with requirements, legal and regulatory, customers and others which the organization subscribes under the Safety and Occupational Health, Environment, Quality and Laboratory skills;
♦ Protection of the environment and prevention of pollution, through a proactive attitude, reduction and monitoring of the environmental impacts of the activity, namely in the correct management of its waste;
♦ Promotion of the health of its employees, in addition to prevention of injuries and occupational incidents;
♦ Enhancement of employees, through constant commitment to training and updating of knowledge, to continuously improve their skills and performance of their duties;
♦ Establishment of goals and targets, systematically evaluating the results obtained in order to continually improve the effectiveness of the Integrated Management System.
♦ Fulfillment of good professional practice and quality of testing (in particular, regarding the methods and costumer requirements);
♦ Quality assurance of the service provided by the laboratory;
♦ Laboratory workers skills requirements for the use of system documentation and implementation of policies and procedures of their working area.
♦ They are communicated to all persons working for or on behalf of EPDM in order to ensure that they are understood and applied by all, consciously in accordance with their obligations as part of the EPDM management system;
♦ They are available to the public and to all interested parties.
The guarantee of compliance with EPDM objectives is duty of each and everyone's responsibility. Top management of EPDM, aware of the challenges arising from the principles of its policy, undertakes to fulfill them, reviewing them periodically to ensure its relevance, providing the means and resources to do so.
